action

When the Englishman David meets the Australian Mia on a trip, they fall in love. The wedding ceremony that follows soon is to take place in Australia on the estate of her parents Barbara Ramme and Jim Ramme. Without further ado, orphan David packs his three best friends Tom, Graham and Luke on the plane. Little by little, the big day turns into a little disaster, as the three friends have completely different things on their minds: Tom is reluctant to marry his best friend because he is afraid of losing him. Graham becomes the focus of psychotic drug dealer Ray and Luke only thinks about his ex-ex who left him for someone else.

David tries with all his might to stop the impending escalation, which he doesn't quite succeed. Jim's beloved ram Ramsay is kidnapped and abused by the boys overnight, Graham and Tom accidentally steal Ray's bag full of coke and then consume it with Barbara, who is really fed up with her husband Jim. In addition, the unstable Luke drowns his heartache in alcohol and has suicidal thoughts during the celebration.

criticism

The film magazine Cinema judged: “The gags of the film are unrestrained exaggerated and not suitable for humor purists. However, if you have a soft spot for upscale anarcho nonsense, you will be thrilled by this wedding from hell. A family comedy of a different kind, in which drugs, alcohol and socially deviant behavior are glorified. ”The Zitty from Berlin wrote that the“ stupid hustle and bustle on the screen ”was developing“ into an outright humor disaster ”and gave the“ clothes ”a rating Bomb (worst possible rating).
