The damn pistols of Dallas is a spaghetti western from 1964, a Spanish-Italian-French co-production directed by Pino Mercanti (other sources lead by the Spaniard José María Zabalza ) and in German-speaking countries only when the genre was in bloom on August 15 Started in 1967.
action
For some time now, Dallas has been the target of attacks by a gang of criminals. In one of them, the old banker Stone is killed and the carriage in which his son Clay is traveling is robbed. They leave him alone while taking Katy Dior hostage. Clay sets out to find the culprits and is soon able to bring the leader, Fast Draw Kenshaw, under his control; but his people threaten to kill Katy if he doesn't release him. Against the advice of the sheriff and judge, Clay complies with the demand and now has to fear arrest for alleged complicity. He is given 48 hours to resolve the matter. Clay actually manages to smash the gang and capture Fast Draw again.
criticism
The lexicon of international films made "boring brawls". Segnalazioni Cinematografiche wrote a film for modest demands that relies on the traditional elements of a Western . Even the Protestant film observer doesn't think much of the film. He describes it as “a Western product that is helpless in every respect” and concludes that friends of the real Western will be bored.
Remarks
Bruno D'Angelo interprets the film song O vecchio Ben .
The Spaniard Zabalza directed, the Italian Mercanti (to whom the pseudonym fits) was officially responsible as a collaborator for the direction and overall management.
