Dieter Braun-Friderici

Dieter Braun-Friderici (born January 12, 1927 - January 30, 2007 ) was a German politician .

In 1964, the then Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate, Peter Altmeier, appointed him district administrator in the Trier district . Braun-Friderici, doctor of law , had already been employed in the local district administration for around six years.

As part of the Rhineland-Palatinate local government reform of 1969, he was appointed district administrator of the newly formed district of Trier-Saarburg . A good cooperation with the independent city of Trier was particularly important to him. Braun-Friderici has been involved in the Rhineland-Palatinate district council for many years . From 1978 to 1983 he was also honorary chairman of the Sparkassen- und Giroverband Rheinland-Pfalz .

From 1983 to 1990 he moved to the Sparkassen- und Giroverband Rheinland-Pfalz as full-time president. From 1964 to 1983 he was also chairman of the board of directors of the former Kreissparkassen Trier and Trier-Saarburg. Braun-Friderici was also head of the Trier-Land district from 1964 to 1970 and head of the Trier-Saarburg district in the German Red Cross from 1970 to 1984 . In 1973 he initiated the founding of the citizens' initiative “Neighbors in Need”, which existed until 1983 and in cooperation with the regional daily Trierischer Volksfreund in the Trier-Saarburg district, it helped citizens in need anonymously by appealing for donations.

He passed away on January 30, 2007 at the age of 80 after a brief, serious illness.

Honors
