Dieter Buchhart

Dieter Buchhart (* 1971 in Vienna ) is an Austrian art historian and curator .

Live and act

Buchhart completed a degree in biology, genetics and biochemistry from 1990 to 2000, followed by a second degree in restoration and art history in Vienna . He completed both directions with a doctorate degree .

He worked as a curator, journalist, art critic and artist. As a visual artist, he stood out primarily with video art and installations. He was the author and editor of numerous exhibition catalogs. From January 1st, 2008 to December 31st, 2009 he was the museum director of the Kunsthalle Krems in Krems an der Donau in Lower Austria .
