Dieter Fischer (politician)

Dieter Fischer (born June 25, 1942 in Biskirchen ) is a German professional soldier, politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

After attending elementary school, Fischer completed an apprenticeship as a painter in 1957. In 1963 he signed up for two years in the German Armed Forces , then pursued a career as a professional soldier and worked as a trainer in Wolfhagen and Mengeringhausen until 1977 . After leaving the Bundeswehr, he worked for two years as an assistant to Hans Wissebach, member of the Bundestag .

In addition to his professional and political activities, Fischer is also involved in shooting sports and war victims associations. He was state chairman of the Kyffhäuserbund Hessen and president of the German Kyffhäuserbund. He also acts as Vice President of the European Union Fédérale des Associations Françaises d'Anciens Combattants, Victimes de Guerre et des Jeunesses de l'Union Fédérale (CEAC). He is also a member of the Euromil Presidium .

Because of his former membership in the Bundeswehr and his voluntary work, he was nicknamed "Panzerfischer".

Political party

Fischer was initially a member of the All-German Party , for which he ran in the 1969 Bundestag election in vain on the Hessian state list. He later joined the CDU and became district chairman of the Christian-Democratic workforce for the Waldeck-Frankenberg district . In the 1970s he had already been district chairman of the Junge Union there.

MP

In 1972 Fischer was elected to the district council of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. From 1979 to 1999 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament.
