Dieter Hillebrand (* 31 January 1951 in Markdorf ) is a German politician of the CDU .

education and profession

After graduating from the Salvatorkolleg in Bad Wurzach , Dieter Hillebrand studied law and political science at the University of Freiburg . After passing the second state examination, he was a magistrate for the city of Oberursel from 1978 to 1979 . In 1979 he joined the administrative service of the state of Baden-Württemberg. Until 1984 Hillebrand worked as a government assessor and councilor at the regional council of Tübingen , then as senior councilor in the Reutlingen district office. From 1987 to 2004 he was an alderman of the Baden-Württemberg municipal council .

Political activity

Dieter Hillebrand has been a member of the CDU since 1980. From 1980 to 1986 he was the local chairman in Gönningen - Bronnweiler . Between 1985 and 1995 he was regional councilor for the Neckar-Alb region . From 1996 to 2012 he was chairman of the CDU municipal association in Reutlingen , and from 1999 to 2004 there was also a local council and district council. Hillebrand has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg since April 11, 2001 as a directly elected member of the Reutlingen constituency . From July 2004 to April 2005 he was Political State Secretary in the Ministry for Environment and Transport Baden-Württemberg and since April 2005 in the Ministry of Finance Baden-Württemberg . After the state elections in 2006, he took over the same office in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Baden-Württemberg . In addition, he was the state government's disability officer from 2006 to 2011. In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2016 , he lost the direct mandate to Thomas Poreski from the Greens and thus failed to get back into the state parliament.

Family and private

Dieter Hillebrand is married and has two children. He lives in Reutlingen and belongs to the Catholic faith. From 1999 to 2012 he was district chairman of the German Red Cross in Reutlingen . He is also an active singer in the Ohmenhausen Choir .
