Dieter Nippert

Dieter Nippert (* 15. January 1937 in Luckenwalde , † 14. June 2018 ) was a German politician of the CDU .

After attending elementary school, Nippert trained as a lathe operator, in 1955 he completed this training with a skilled worker certificate. He then worked in the metal industry for ten years, seven of which in Geneva . In 1965 he moved to the Berlin telecommunications office 2, where he worked as a technical employee until 1970. As a second educational path, he attended an evening course at the Berlin College, which he graduated from high school in 1967. He then studied economics and political science at the Free University of Berlin , graduating with a degree in political science. In 1970 he was appointed regional representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Manila , the capital of the Philippines , a position he held until 1975. He then returned to Berlin and took over the post of planning officer at the district office in Schöneberg . From 1978 to 1985 he headed the program department of the German Development Service in Kladow , he was also deputy managing director. Nippert was a member of the Union Relief Organization .

In 1959 Nippert joined the CDU, where he was the deputy chairman of the Schöneberg district association for a time. In 1979 he was elected to the district assembly for the first time, where he temporarily served as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. In 1985 he took over the office of the Schöneberg District Councilor for Finance and Economics, which he held until 1995. He then moved as a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . He was a member of this until 2001, most recently directly elected in the constituency of Schöneberg 3.
