Count Guido Adolf Georg Dietlof von Arnim-Boitzenburg (born August 22, 1867 in Berlin , † April 15, 1933 in Boitzenburg ) was a Prussian Junker and German politician from the von Arnim family .

Life

He was a grandson of State Minister Adolf Heinrich von Arnim-Boitzenburg , the eldest son of Adolf von Arnim-Boitzenburg and Fideikommissherr on Boitzenburg ( Uckermark ). His younger brother was Bernd Graf von Arnim . On May 24, 1893, Count Dietlof married Countess Alexandra zu Eulenburg (* 1868 in Königsberg ; † 1943 in Boitzenburg) in Berlin . Of the four sons of this marriage, the third-born, Joachim Dietlof (* 1898 in Boitzenburg, † 1972 in Frankfurt am Main), was the last owner of Boitzenburg until 1945.

From 1887 Arnim-Boitzenburg was a hereditary member of the Prussian mansion and from January 13, 1916 to November 15, 1918 its last president. As such, he protested on November 28, 1918 against the removal of the mansion on November 15, 1918 by decree of the Prussian Revolutionary Cabinet. He was chairman of the provincial day of the Prussian province of Brandenburg , from 1911 Präses the provincial synod of the ecclesiastical province Mark Brandenburg of the Evangelical Church of the older Provinten Prussia (and later the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union ) and Chancellor of the Order of St. John .

Arnim-Boitzenburg founded a bison breeding facility in Boitzenburg in 1922 . He was a founding member and longstanding Vice President of the International Society for the Rescue and Conservation of the European bison. He was particularly interested in his closer home and nature conservation .
