Dijon Football Côte-d'Or is a French football club from Dijon , the capital of the French department Côte-d'Or in the Bourgogne region .
history
It was founded in 1936 as Cercle Laïque Dijonnais . The club carried this name until 1991, when it was called Cercle Football Dijonnais and took on its current name after merging with Dijon FC in 1998. The club colors are red and white; the league team plays in the municipal Parc des Sports ( Stade Gaston Gérard ), which has a capacity of 15,000 seats.
The club's president is Olivier Delcourt.
League affiliation
Dijon has only had professional status since 2004. The club played first-class in Ligue 1 for the first time in the 2011/12 season , but initially only for one year. In the 2015/16 season , the club was promoted to Ligue 1 a second time.
