The Dilor ( Rio Dilor , Dilin ) is a river in East Timor .

description

The river forms much of the border between the communities of Viqueque and Manatuto in southeast East Timor . It is the main river in the Luca Plain and flows south from Inner Timor into the Timor Sea . The place Dilor is further east in the municipality of Viqueque. The river spreads again and again and forms small islands in its course.

course

Two source rivers of the Dilors, the Lago Leci and the Lago Melac , have their source in the north of the Suco Barique (Administrative Office Barique ) . The Lago Leci flows into the municipality of Viqueque, in the west of the Sucos Laline ( Lacluta administrative office ) and flows into the Lago Leec , which then meets the Lago Melac from Barique at the municipality boundary and now forms the border up to its mouth. Shortly afterwards the Buco river , which has its source in Suco Orlalan ( Laclubar administrative office ), meets the Dilor. A left tributary of the Buco is the Nabaonada . It flows along the border between the Sucos Leo-Hat and Barique.

After the tributary of the Tacabucan , which rises in Barique, and the Batacain from the Suco Ahic (Lacluta), the Dilor spreads strongly and swings from southeast to south. There are several islands in the river here.

The Ribeira Culacao rises in the northeast of Manehat (Barique) and then roughly follows the border between the Sucos Fatuwaque and Barique up to its confluence with the Dilor. A right tributary of the Culacao is the Motobeca .

At the mouth of the Culacao, the Dilor spreads out again to form a long lake with a few small islands. At Wemau Badak , where the Suco Aubeon begins on the west bank, the southern coastal road, one of the main traffic routes in East Timor, leads over a bridge over the Dilor before the river finally reaches the Timor Sea.
