Dina Rae

Dina Rae (* 1976 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American R&B singer from Los Angeles. She gained fame through working with the rapper Eminem , on whose albums she can be heard preferably on song no.

life and career

Rae grew up in Los Angeles. Her mother sent her to ballet and dance classes at a pre-teen age. She also took singing lessons from her godmother, a former background singer of Marvin Gaye .

A few years later she joined a dance company. At the age of 17 she sang on the album Plain Rap of the rap group The Pharcyde . She then worked with various artists from Los Angeles and finally met Eminem , who took her on his Anger Management Tour in 2002 .

She can be heard on his songs Cum on Everybody , Drug Ballad , Superman , and Renegades (8-minute version with Ms. Korona and Royce da 5'9 " ), each track No. 13 of the album in question. The label Motown Records signed her and released her first own single called And? in 2004, which had only moderate success. Furthermore, Rae was on the D12 song Pimp Like Me (also song No. 13), on the album Devils Night to hear. She also sang on the track Ride Wit Me by Obie Trice in which the death of former D12 member Proof is discussed. The song was circulating on the internet for a while. She can also be heard on the songs Doin 'What I Do and Can't Wait by the rapper Jin . She also worked with well-known protagonists of the German hip-hop scene. Together with Caput and Sinan (the brother of Kool Savas ) she recorded the track U Ain't Fucking With Us , which was released in 2006 on the label sampler Optik Takeover! was released by Optik Records . Her track My Shit is a variant of Sido's hit Mein Block , based on the remix by producer Beathoavenz .
