Dinan is a town and a former French commune with last 10,962 inhabitants (2016) in Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Dinan and the Canton of Dinan .

With effect from January 1, 2018, the former municipalities of Dinan and Léhon were merged into the Commune nouvelle Dinan of the same name . In the new municipality only Léhon has the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are in Dinan.
