Disiplin is a Norwegian black metal band.

Band history

Disiplin was founded by Haakon Forwald (also known by pseudonyms such as General K, Savant M and Drakul Azacain) in the summer of 2000 after he left Myrkskog . In 2002 their demo Vama Marga was released , 100 copies of which were distributed at the Inferno Festival and which the band later made available for download on their website. The demo made Satyr von Satyricon aware of them; After a few months of exchange, a first live appearance and the appearance of the split EP The DeathRite Sessions with Khaos Kommando, he released her debut Disiplin, recorded in Akkerhaugen Lydstudio, on his label Moonfog Productions . In addition to singer Ausslavia, rhythm guitarist Krig and drummer Nex, the former Emperor members Faust and Samoth also took part. The music is a mixture of medium tempo riffs and blast beats , which is inspired by “ old school ” black, thrash and death metal ; Main influences are Darkthrone , Celtic Frost , Satyricon, Thorns , Neurosis , Venom , Metallica , Slayer , Emperor and Aborym . In The One Who Makes You Crawl , the band quoted Jack Parsons ' The Book of Babalon .

After Forwald, who then operated under the pseudonym Drakul Azacain, turned to the Misanthropic Luciferian Order , he separated from the rest of his line-up because they did not belong to the MLO and he wanted to align the band accordingly. This is also indicated by his new pseudonym Drakul-218 and song titles such as 11 , Quimbanda (after the Afro-Brazilian Quimbanda ) and Chaos Triumphator on the groove- heavy album Anti-Life , recorded in summer 2004 and released in 2005 . The song Pesticide - Swallow Your Own Shit !!! the Carpathian Forest and Nattefrost singer Nattefrost took part as a guest singer.

Around 2005/2006 Forwald turned to pagan and right-wing extremist ideology, which he integrated into the band, renamed himself Eihwaz WeltenFeind and joined the band on the Pagan Front. In 2008 the industrial- heavy EP Wolf-Age was released , which was only distributed in the private sphere of the band. In 2009 Disiplin signed with FrentEuropa Records and released the Best of Molti Nemici - Molto Onore . It contains song titles such as Prelude to Kali Yuga , WotansLied and Kali Yuga illustrate the new direction of the band and their reference to Nordic mythology and Kali-Yuga . The 2010 album Hostis Humani Generis features song titles such as ArioSophic Initiation , For Blood, Soil and the Gods! and Revolt Against the Modern Man make clear references to subjects and people such as ariosophy , blood-and-soil ideology and Julius Evola .

In 2010 the singer Wulfclaw was replaced by WeissKreuz. According to A-Blaze magazine, he is “no stranger to the Norwegian black metal scene, but he does not want to reveal his identity.” In the same year Disiplin signed a contract with the Italian label ATMF. For the tenth anniversary of the band, a limited-edition sound carrier called Radikal Randgruppe was announced. The album Radikal Randgruppe , released in 2011, moves between industrial and noise , style elements typical of black metal can hardly be found anymore. White Earth was associated with both dub and techno , the beat of Soldier of the Black Sun with trip-hop .
