The district of Jaén is one of twelve districts in the province of Jaén in the administrative region of Cajamarca in northern Peru . The district has an area of ​​556 km². In the 2017 census, the population was 94,153. The administrative seat is the city of Jaén .

Geographical location

The Jaén district is located in a valley with a tropical climate, the inhabitants of which live mainly from growing coffee and rice.
