Divini redemptoris
The encyclical Divini redemptoris was written by Pope Pius XI. Written and published on March 19, 1937, it deals with " atheist communism ".
Content representation
After entering into the opening words about Christ and the human community, as well as the behavior of the Church towards communism, Pius XI condemns. the development and spread of communism. It also discusses the teaching of the Church and the rights and duties between people and society. In its main part it points out the necessity of Christian social teaching and places the renewal of Christian life and charity in the foreground as the most important means of healing.
