Ines Papert

Ines Papert (born April 5, 1974 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg ) is a German sport climber and ice climbing world champion .

Life

Ines Papert grew up in the small town of Bad Düben in northern Saxony . She comes from a musical family and plays the piano and saxophone. After her training as a physiotherapist, she took a job in Berchtesgaden and only discovered her passion for the mountains there. Her first mountain tour in 1996 was the Watzmann crossing. Within a very short time she climbed America's highest mountain, the Aconcagua .

She became a mother on August 22, 2000.

In 2006 she achieved another victory in the overall world cup of ice climbers with five out of five possible victories.

Ines Papert now lives with her family in Bayerisch Gmain .
