The Likhu Chuli (also Pig Pherago Shar ) is a glaciated mountain in the Himalayas in the Rolwaling Himal mountain range .

The 6719  m high Likhu Chuli is located on the border of the Nepalese administrative zones Janakpur and Sagarmatha . Likhu Chuli is located 43 km southwest of Mount Everest . The Likhu Chuli is located on a mountain ridge that runs in a north-south direction. The Tengi Ragi Tau ( 6943  m ) rises 5.61 km further north , 6.81 km south-southeast of the Numbur ( 6958  m ).

Due to a notch height of almost 500 m, the Likhu Chuli is not considered to be an "independent mountain". 1.74 km to the west is the 6660  m high Likhu Chuli West ( Pig Pherago Nup ), 3.12 km north of the Parchamo trekking peak ( 6273  m ).

The Trakarding Glacier , which flows to the Tsho Rolpa glacial lake, is located on the northwest flank . The Zurmoche Glacier extends on the southern slope . At the northeast foot of the mountain, a valley leads east to the mountain village of Thame .

Ascent history

The Likhu Chuli was first climbed on November 13, 2013 by the German alpinist Ines Papert . She reached the summit via the north-northeast wall.
