Dollrottfeld ( Danish : Dollerødmark ) is a district of the municipality of Süderbrarup in the Schleswig-Flensburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . Dollrottfeld was an independent municipality until March 1, 2018.
Geography and traffic

Dollrottfeld does not have a distinct town center, but is a street village . The place was created in the course of the coupling of the lands of Gut Dollrott in the 18th century, when the farmers were able to settle on the former field. The basic name Dollrot means clearing in the valley , going back to Danish. dal for valley with expansion and rounding of the / a / as well as going back to old Danish. ruth (Middle Danish roj , New Danish rød ) for clearing .
Dollrottfeld is about eight kilometers west of Kappeln and about two kilometers east of the core town of Süderbrarup on the federal highway 201 to Schleswig .
politics
Since the local elections in 2013, the voter community KAWD (Kommunale Active Voters Community Dollrottfeld) had all nine seats in the last community council. The last mayor was Wolfgang Hansen (KAWD).
economy
The village is very agricultural , although the number of farms has been declining for years. Cattle breeding, dairy farming and arable farming (grain, rape) predominate. A number of wind turbines were built in the mid and late 1990s . However, due to the scattered settlement structure, this activity soon found its spatial limit.
Because of its proximity to the Baltic Sea and Schlei , tourism is becoming increasingly important for Dollrottfeld. This is particularly evident in the increasing number of holiday apartments and guest rooms.
