Domenico Caloyera
Domínikos Kalogerás , outside of the Greek-speaking countries mainly known as Domenico Caloyera OP (born July 15, 1915 in Constantinople , Ottoman Empire , † August 7, 2007 ), was a Greek Roman Catholic bishop .
He entered the Dominican monastery in his hometown at a young age and was ordained a priest on July 16, 1936 . 1955 he was by Pius XII. appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Apostolic Exarchate Constantinople ; In 1976 he resigned from this office for health reasons. In 1978 he was appointed Archbishop of İzmir by John Paul II . The episcopal ordination received his Paul-Pierre Philippe Cardinal on February 10, 1979. 1983 his resignation was approved.
He was dean of the canons of the Liberian chapter at the Patriarchal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore .
