Dominik Peter (born May 30, 2001 ) is a Swiss ski jumper who has been internationally active since 2018.

Career

In his first international competition, Peter took 22nd place in the Nordic Ski Games of the OPA 2014 in Gérardmer, France . Since then, Peter has regularly participated in the FIS Alpine Cup, where he first achieved the points in March 2016 in Baiersbronn . After he was able to jump a few podium places in the 2018/19 season, he finished the Alpencup in second place in the overall standings behind the Austrian David Haagen .

At the Swiss Championships in 2016, Peter won both the junior championship and the team for the Zurich Ski Association . While he was able to defend the title with the team in the following three years, he was only second behind Sandro Hauswirth at the junior championships .

Peter made his Continental Cup debut in December 2016 in Einsiedeln , but it was only in August 2018 that he was able to score Continental Cup points on the Beskydy Tour . His best result so far was twelfth place, which he took in Klingenthal in January 2019 .

Peter took part in three Nordic Junior World Ski Championships between 2017 and 2019 . His best individual result he scored in 2019 with the eleventh place in the Finnish Lahti .

In Predazzo , Italy , Peter made his debut in the World Cup at the beginning of 2019 , but missed the second round with 45th place. Only at the beginning of the new 2019/20 World Cup season did he reach the points when he finished 26th in Ruka under difficult weather conditions .
