The Dominican Convent is a Roman Catholic monastery in Vienna's 13th district Hietzing at Schlossberggasse 17. The monastery was founded in 1870 by Princess Friederike von Auersperg (1820–1902).

Chapel of Mary, Queen of St. Rosary

The neo-Gothic chapel was built according to plans by Richard Jordan between 1885 and 1886 by the builder Josef Schmalzhofer . The exposed brick building with a strong double tower facade and a mighty triangular gable facing Schlossberggasse is more reminiscent of a church than a chapel, especially since the building complex includes another school chapel, which is not flanked by towers. The interior design from 1960 is by architect Georg Lippert . On the altar wall there is a large wooden sculpture with the handover of the rosary to St. Dominic by Josef Lang .

Convention, school, boarding school

The school building was built as a three-storey exposed brick building with a central gable top in Seuttergasse between 1896 and 1904. This building was expanded to include a boarding school between 1964 and 1966 according to plans by architect Gustav Peichl . The boarding school has meanwhile been closed, however, the premises are used by the schools and the after-school care center for the Dominican women . The original building has been expanded with additions.
