Don Bosco is the title of an Italian black and white film directed by Goffredo Alessandrini from 1935 . The premiere took place in Italy in mid-April 1935. The film was produced by Lux Film . Onororato Castellino and Rufillo Uguccioni were responsible for compiling the material .

Don Bosco grew up in the area around Monferrato in Piedmont , attended the seminary after his vocation at a young age , worked in education and social affairs in the city of Turin , where he mainly looked after disadvantaged children and young people, and founded the Salesian Order and is canonized after his death.

criticism

Contemporary critics praised Alessandrini as an intelligent director who succeeded in bringing a mood of true poetry and dramatic power to the screen. Among the actors, the actor in the title role was particularly highlighted.

Remarks

For the scenography was Teonesto De Abate responsible. Many of the performers are laypeople, including many members of the Salesian Order.
