Don Mitchell (born Donald Michael Mitchell March 17, 1943 in Houston , Texas , † December 8, 2013 in Encino , California ) was an American actor in film and television. He gained fame primarily through his role as Officer Mark Sanger in the crime series Der Chef .

life and career

To become an actor, Don Mitchell was born in Houston, Texas in 1943 and graduated from the University of California in Los Angeles with a degree in fine arts . Mitchell played various television roles from 1965 to 1993, including appearances in episodes of well-known series, including: Mr. Novak (1965), The Charming Jeannie (1965-1966), In Love with a Witch (1966), On the Run (1966 –1967), The People at Shiloh Ranch (1967), Medical Story (1976), Wonder Woman (1978), CHiPs (1979) or Matlock (1986). He played a more complex TV role in 195 episodes as Officer Mark Sanger from 1967 to 1975 in the television series The Boss at the side of fellow actor Raymond Burr . In 1993 he played this role again in the TV movie The Boss Returns .

In the cinema , Don Mitchell only appeared in a few films as an actor. In 1973 he played Justin Carter alongside fellow actors such as William Marshall and Pam Grier in the horror film The Scream of Death, directed by Bob Kelljan . In 1991 he was cast by director Roland S. Jefferson in his drama Perfume in the role of Sheldon.

The marriages of actress Judy Pace and Emilie Blake Walker ended in divorce. His daughter Shawn Meshelle Mitchell also became an actress.
