Don Wayne

Don Wayne ( May 30, 1933 - July 19, 2019 ) was an American magician who invented and developed illusions for many famous magicians .

Life

Don Wayne invented many different magic tricks that many professional magicians perform today . He ran a company called "Don Wayne Magic Inc." through which he works for TV, theater and various amusement parks. In the US magic magazine Magic Magazine he was described as one of the most influential and creative magicians of the last 100 years. He has also won a number of competitions and has received important awards, such as the “Magic Trickster and Inventor of the Decade” award from the International Magicians Society and an Emmy for outstanding visual effects.

He is best known for his work for the magician and illusionist David Copperfield , for whom he invented his magic tricks for more than 18 years. He also provided him with his ideas and effects for 17 of his TV appearances and more than 800 weeks of his tour. He also worked with the following artists or invented magic tricks for them:

Michael Jackson , Britney Spears , Cher , Siegfried & Roy , Criss Angel , Mark Wilson , Hans Klok , Luís de Matos , Chris Hart , Jason Byrne , Florian Zimmer and Robert Gallup
