Donal McKeown (born April 12, 1950 in Belfast ) is Roman Catholic Bishop of Derry in Northern Ireland .

Life

Donal McKeown was ordained a priest on July 3, 1977 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Down and Connor and titular bishop of Cell Ausaille on February 22, 2001 . The Bishop of Down and Connor , Patrick Joseph Walsh , donated to him on April 29 of that year, the episcopal ordination ; Co-consecrators were Anthony J. Farquhar , Auxiliary Bishop in Down and Connor, and Giuseppe Lazzarotto , Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Derry on February 25, 2014 . The inauguration took place on April 6 of the same year.
