Donald James Reece (born April 13, 1934 in Kingston , Jamaica ) is a retired Roman Catholic Archbishop of Kingston, Jamaica .

Life

Donald James Reece was ordained a priest on January 3, 1971 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Saint-John's-Basseterre on July 17, 1981 . He received his episcopal ordination from the Archbishop of Kingston, Jamaica, Samuel Emmanuel Carter SJ , on October 8 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Kelvin Edward Felix , Archbishop of Castries , and Joseph Oliver Bowers SVD , Bishop Emeritus of Saint John's-Basseterre.

On October 12, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . as Coadjutor Archbishop of Kingston in Jamaica. After the retirement of Lawrence Aloysius Burke he followed this on 12 April 2008 at the office of the Archbishop of Kingston in Jamaica to.
