Donald Lapointe

Donald Lapointe (born September 25, 1936 in Disraeli , Québec ) is a Canadian clergyman of the Roman Catholic Church and auxiliary bishop emeritus in Saint-Jérôme .

Life

Donald Lapointe was ordained a priest for the diocese of Sherbrooke on May 23, 1964 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Octabia and auxiliary bishop in Saint-Jérôme on October 26, 2002 . The Bishop of Saint-Jérôme, Gilles Cazabon OMI , ordained him episcopal on December 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were André Gaumond , Archbishop of Sherbrooke, and Vital Massé , Bishop of Mont-Laurier .

On July 30, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
