Donavan Vincent Grondin (born September 26, 2000 in Saint-Pierre , Réunion ) is a French cyclist who is active on track and road .

Athletic career

Donavan Grondin was born on Réunion, where he grew up. In 2015 he came to the European part of France for the first time and immediately became French youth champion in road racing at the age of 15 . Three years later he won the world championship in the Omnium at the junior world championships on the track , in the team pursuit he won silver. He was also the French junior road champion. At the U23 European Railway Championships , he finished second in the Omnium and with two-man team driving (with Thomas Denis ). In the same year he also won his first title in the elite at the French rail championships. Together with Benjamin Thomas he won the two-man team at the 2019/20 Track Cycling World Cup in Glasgow .

In 2020 Grondin received his first contract with a UCI ProTeam with Team Arkéa-Samsic .
