The village church Börnicke is the Evangelical Church of Börnicke , a district of the town of Nauen in the district Havelland the country Brandenburg . It is listed under the number 09150022 in the monument register of the state of Brandenburg.

architecture

The church located in the village center was built in the 15th century from brick in the style of late Gothic built. The rectangular church hall is decorated at the eastern end by a gable decorated with panels . On the south side there is a plastered porch, which was probably built in the middle of the 18th century . At the same time, the particularly large roof turret was probably built on the west side of the nave . This tower is clad with boards.

There is a war memorial in front of the east side of the church .

Interior design

The interior of the nave has a flat roof. There is a gallery on the western side . A carved altarpiece from around 1600 is remarkable . The essay, richly furnished with fittings and rollers , was restored in 1739. A picture painted in the style of Dutch Late Mannerism shows the baptism of Christ . Coinciding with the altarpiece was also in the style of the Renaissance -made pulpit . Its polygonal basket rests between columns on which there are pictures of the four evangelists . On the back wall of the pulpit is a picture of Christ in the form of a painting , which shows Christ as the ruler of the world .

Of the original three bells in the Börnick church tower, only the largest is left, the two smaller ones were dismantled in 1916 and melted down for the production of weapons during the First World War .

In 2013 the church, which was infested with woodworms, was hermetically sealed from the outside under a (black-red-gold) foil and fumigated.
