description

The church was mentioned as early as the 12th century and at that time belonged to the Paulinzella monastery . The abbots of Paulinzella exercised the right of patronage over the church. The nave of today's hall church dates from the 14th century. The choir tower in the east received an additional 1,760 verschiefertes floor on which an octagonal curly hood with a clock tower sits. An open lantern is enthroned on it . The nave was equipped with a plastered wooden beam ceiling and galleries in the 18th century . The choir has a deep groin vault with a carved keystone showing a head surrounded by vine leaves. In the east wall there is a tall, narrow, ogival window. In front of it there is a stone altar on which stands a wooden statue of the triumphant Christ , made in 1857. During this time, the wall painting and the ceiling painting in the church were also made.

The organ with seven registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built around 1800 by an unknown organ builder .
