To the west of the long nave , the church tower occupies the entire western front of the nave . The tower has a Romanesque window on each of its narrow sides; on the west side of the tower there is a stepped portal, which was originally designed as a round arch . The sound openings are set with bricks. The tower is crowned by a gable roof that was renewed in 1969 and 1997 . The masonry of the gable was repaired in 1969.

Around 1765 an old choir and possibly also an apse were demolished and the nave was extended by 12.5 meters to the east. At the same time it received uniform, larger arched windows . On the southern side of the nave you can see a walled-up portal from the Romanesque period. The roof over the nave was repaired in 1971.

The interior of the nave is spanned by a flat ceiling. The pulpit altar wall is simply designed with openwork carvings and was created around 1780. The sound cover rises like a crown over the pulpit . The gallery and organ date from the first half of the 19th century. The grave slabs of Maria Kühtze, who died in 1755, and Christian Kühtze, who died in 1785, are located in the area of the choir . In 1965 the interior of the church was repainted by the master painter Fink from Schönhausen.

One of the bronze bells in the church dates back to the 14th century. A second was cast in 1765 by JF Thiele from Berlin .
