Village church in Klein Kienitz

The Protestant village church Klein Kienitz is a hall church in Klein Kienitz , a district of the municipality Rangsdorf in the district of Teltow-Fläming in Brandenburg .

history

Craftsmen erected a sacred building with a rectangular floor plan around 1300 . In 1739 the parish had the early Gothic , small window openings enlarged and raised the walls by around 40 cm. In addition, a porch was built over the priest's gate on the south side, but this no longer exists in the 21st century. In the 19th century, craftsmen added a vestibule and built the west tower . In 1997 the roof was renovated.

architecture

South portal

The early Gothic building was made of field stones , which were layered comparatively evenly in the lower area of the nave , but were only slightly carved. The lines run in the upper area below the eaves , which could be due to an increase at a later time. There are three segment-arched windows on the north and south walls of the nave, two of which are located in the western part and another in the eastern part towards the choir . The bottles are brightly plastered and emphasize the shape of the openings. Theo Engeser and Konstanze Stehr give the nave a length of 16.73 meters and a width of 7.72 meters. On the northern wall of the church, in the eastern area, there is a portal added with reddish stone and granite splinters , the original pointed arch shape of which is clearly recognizable through a still existing, simply stepped garment made of hewn field stones. The remnants of a pointed roof can be seen on the wall above, which could be traced back to a sacristy that no longer exists . This is also supported by some repairs above these remains of the wall. The eastern wall of the church was designed with two large, segment-arched windows. Repair work can be seen between the two windows and in the gable above , which could indicate that this side of the building was originally built with a group of three windows typical at the time of construction . The vestibule, which is set back from the rest of the building, is made of brick and is plastered. Their plan is rectangular; on the north and south sides are two arched windows. Access is via a wooden portal on the west side. Behind it, on the western wall of the nave, there is the pointed arch-shaped western portal from the time the church was built. The plastered gable is decorated with a brick cross. In the western gable of the nave, the stones are no longer layered and carved. The lines run completely in this area; Gaps are filled with broken bricks.

The boarded roof tower rises to the west. There are small sound arcades on the north and south sides and a clock tower on the west side. Its pyramid roof , like the saddle roofs of the nave and the porch, is covered with a red beaver tail .

Furnishing

The wooden altarpiece dates from the second half of the 17th century and shows the Lord's Supper in its predella . The main field depicts the crucifixion of Christ , while the essay shows the burial and resurrection. The cheeks and frame are decorated with cartilage . The pulpit with the sound cover attached to it probably dates from the same time. Their cassettes are decorated with pictures of the evangelists , the staircase with pictures of Jesus Christ and Moses . The church stalls at the altar were probably made in the 17th century. Their parapets are decorated with inscriptions, monograms and coat of arms paintings. The rest of the furnishings, as well as the west gallery, date from the 19th century.

Two epitaphs remember Georg Christian von Köppen and his wife Elisabeth Sabina , who died in 1715 and 1712 respectively. A children's tombstone reminds of Eberhart von Köppen . He died in 1603.
