Dorothee Eisenlohr

Dorothee Eisenlohr (born on 11. March 1982 in Hechingen ) is a German non-party local politician. She has been Lord Mayor of Schramberg since October 2019 .

Life

Eisenlohr passed the Abitur in 2001 in Hechingen. She then studied languages, economic and cultural studies at the University of Passau with a semester abroad in the Netherlands and graduated with a degree in cultural studies . During her studies, she received a scholarship from the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung's journalistic support for young talent . After graduating, she worked as a freelance editor. From 2010 to 2016 she worked as a European coordinator and project manager at the Verband Region Stuttgart . In 2012 and 2013 she was Managing Director of the Federal Network of European Metropolitan Regions in Germany. From 2017 until she took office as Lord Mayor of Schramberg, she was managing director of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg mbH business development company .

Political career

Eisenlohr, daughter of a long-term CDU community council member, joined the Junge Union at the age of 14, but left again at 19. She ran for the mayoral election on July 7, 2019 as a non-party candidate with the support of the CDU and was able to prevail in the first ballot with 67.65 percent of the votes against her competitors, the previous incumbent Thomas Herzog and Dirk Caroli. Eisenlohr took office on October 4, 2019 and moved to the Schramberg hamlet of Tischneck that same year.
