Douglas Crise
Douglas Alan Crise (born May 1, 1961 in Smithton , Pennsylvania ) is an American film editor .
Life
Douglas Alan Crise was born the third of five children to the postman Glenn Crise and the housewife Catherine Crise in Smithton , Pennsylvania . After graduating from Yough Senior High School in 1979 , he worked for a few years as a butcher at Shop 'n Save , a food retailer in Pittsburgh . After studying film at the University of Pittsburgh , he moved to Los Angeles , where he initially only found a job as a truck driver. So he moved back to Pittsburgh for a year and then tried a second time in Los Angeles, where he worked for months as an unpaid intern and assistant editor. When he was assisting the film editing of Clockwatchers in 1997 , Cris met the film editor Stephen Mirrione , and was his assistant editor on his next projects: Traffic - Power of the Cartel , Ocean's Eleven , Geständnisse - Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Good Night, and Good Luck. .
For the common intersection of Babel , a drama by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu , Cris and Mirrione were in 2007 for the Oscar with a nomination in the category average Best considered.
Douglas Crise married Lori M. Kohl in 1988 and Carolyn A.Frazier after the divorce in 1992. He is currently married to his former assistant editor Denise Marquez.
