Dr. Son of Satan is ready to turn Ilona into her daughter Meta. But the diabolical pact has a catch. This makeover will only last, according to Satan's son, if Ilona never kisses a man again. Ilona gets involved and is more than enthusiastic about the result. The moment Ilona becomes a meta, Prof. Waldow's true wife disappears. In turn, he is very surprised that his alleged wife no longer wants to kiss him.

When suddenly Dr. Son of Satan himself in love with Ilona / Meta and then finally kisses her, Ilona's beautiful illusion bursts and she is, in the literal sense, just the same again. The next morning Ilona Werner wakes up: It was all just a (nice) dream.

Reviews

In the Lichtbild-Bühne it says: “This and many other things give the opportunity for extremely successful trick shots that will certainly have amazing effects. The matter is more witty than it first appears. Edel has committed itself to a representative of the title role in Lubitsch, as the devil could not have conjured up better. "

In Paimann's film lists you can read: "Material and photos are very good, and the game is great."

Armin Loacker said: "DOCTOR SATANSOHN is - as Jürgen Kasten writes -" one of the best early Lubitsch films, funny and aggressive, with unbelievable speed. "
