Dr. Stone ( Japanese ド ク タ ー ス ト ー ン Dokutā Sutōn , in English "Doctor Stone") is a manga series by author Riichiro Inagaki and draftsman Boichi . In 2019 an adaptation will be shown as an anime series. In adventure and science fiction history, everyone in the world has been turned to stone after a disaster. After more than 3,700 years, two boys wake up and fight to revive humanity. This battle quickly becomes a battle between science and power and who deserves to be revived.

action

High school student Taiju Ōki (大 木 大樹Ōki Taiju ) has been in love with Yuzuriha (小川 杠Ogawa Yuzuriha ) for five years . But just as he wants to confess his love to her, all of humanity and a species of bird are transformed into stone by a green glimmer of light. When he wakes up from the stone in a cave, he goes in search of his great love - knowing that Yuzuriha was the last to stand under the camphor tree. He quickly finds the tree as well as his great love, which like everyone else is still made of stone. However, his good friend and scientist Senku (石 神 千 空Ishigami Senku ) left a message in the tree. Following her, he meets Senku, who has already awakened from the stone six months before him, at the river. He has counted the past time and can thus report that it is October 5th, 5738 and that all of humanity has been turned to stone for thousands of years. The two try to rebuild civilization and survive in the wilderness the world has turned into. Senku discovers that nitric acid from bat droppings was responsible for the reconversion of Taiju. He uses his knowledge to make ethanol and mix it with nitric acid to make nital. First they want to revive Yuzuriha, but are hunted by lions and inevitably wake up Tsukasa Shishio (獅子王 司Shishiō Tsukasa ), who is also known as the “strongest primate high school student ”. This stops the lions and helps them both with their hunting and protection. However, when Senku extracts calcium carbonate from mussel shells - as fertilizer, for making soap and for cement, and later also for gunpowder - Tsukasa tells of his childhood: his sister was seriously ill and he wanted to make her a necklace out of mussels, but the owner of the Fishermen's rights for the area knocked down. Since then, he has held a grudge against the adults he sees as corrupt monsters. He wants only the youth to be revived and begins to destroy the statues of the adults and kill the people. It comes to the rejection, because Senku wants to revive everyone and tries with his knowledge to bring back civilization. This creates two rival clans: the “empire of power” with the strongest primate high school student and Senkus “kingdom of science”.
