Christoph begins his voluntary social year in a nursing home as the personal carer of the 28-year-old Sven. The seriously ill young man suffers from muscular dystrophy, the nursing room is his microcosm, which he has been managing confidently for years. Sven's humor seems strange and threatening, which Christoph also immediately feels. But after the first "welcome crisis", Sven gradually lets Christoph into his world. It begins to open up and the two young men become friends more and more. Real closeness and familiarity arise, so that Sven trusts Christoph with his deepest wish.
