Dream Street is Janet Jackson's second studio album , released on A&M Records in October 1984 .

history

Compared to the debut album, Dream Street was even more dance-pop- oriented. Also new was the involvement of other members of the Jackson family. So it was produced by Marlon Jackson , and Michael Jackson also took on some small vocal passages.

Four singles were released, including Two to the Power of Love , a duet with Cliff Richard . The album reached number 147 on the US charts and was therefore not a great success. This only occurred with the successor Control .

criticism

The Allmusic website described Don't Stand Another Chance as being outstanding because it was a "family matter". Even the radio -Stück Pretty Boy and the pieces Hold Back the Tears and If It Takes All Night were called, the last two "Pop 80s satisfactory" as.
