Jabar Rassulowitsch Rassulow ( Russian Джабар Расулович Расулов * June 27 jul. / 10. July  1913 greg. In Chodschent, Russian Empire , today Khujand , Sughd , Tajikistan , † 4. April 1982 in Dushanbe , Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic ) was a Soviet politician of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) and diplomat who, among other things, was Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic between 1946 and 1955 and first secretary of the Communist Party of Tajikistan from 1961 until his death in 1982 .

Life

Jabar Rassulowitsch Rassulow graduated from the Central Asian Cotton Institute in 1934 and worked as an agronomist in various agricultural cooperatives from 1934 to 1938. In 1939 he became a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). After he was head of department in the People's Commissariat for Agriculture of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic from 1938 to 1941, he worked in the People's Commissariat for Procurement in the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1945. He then served as People's Commissar for Agriculture between 1945 and 1946 and briefly as Minister for Industrial Cultures in 1946, before he succeeded Mahmadali Kurbanowitsch Kurbanow as Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Tajik SSR in April 1946 . He held this office until March 27, 1955, after which Tursunbaj Uldschabajewitsch Uldschabajew was his successor. On February 10, 1946, he was also a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR , of which he was a member until his death on April 4, 1982. On the XIX. At the CPSU party congress (October 5th to 14th, 1952) he became a member of the Central Committee (ZK) of the CPSU for the first time and belonged to this body until the XX. Subsequently, Rassulow moved to the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1955 and was First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Soviet Union until 1958. After his return to Tajikistan, he served as secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Tajikistan from 1958 to 1960 and as the Soviet ambassador to Togo between 1960 and 1961 . Most recently, on April 12, 1961, he succeeded Tursunbaj Uldschabajewitsch Uldschabajew as First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Tajikistan and held this position until his death on April 4, 1982, whereupon Rahmon Nabiyevich Nabiyev took over on April 20, 1982. On the XXII. At the CPSU party congress (October 17 to 31, 1961) he was again a member of the CPSU Central Committee and was a member of this body until his death.

Jabar Rassulowitsch Rassulow was honored several times for his services and among other things became a hero of socialist work in 1981 . He was also awarded the Order of Lenin nine times , the Order of the October Revolution , the Order of the Great Patriotic War and three times the Order of the Red Banner of Labor .
