Duliby ( Ukrainian Дуліби ; Russian Дулибы , Polish Duliby ) is a village in the Ukrainian Lviv Oblast with about 3,600 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1463, is the only place in the 2.52 km² district council of the same name in the Stryj district and borders the Stryj district center in the northeast .
Duliby is located in the historical Galicia on the banks of the Stryj, 75 km south of the Lviv Oblast center . The M 06 / E 471 trunk road runs through the village .
Personalities
- The German historian, expellee functionary and Bavarian state politician Rudolf Wagner (* July 18, 1911, † April 27, 2004) was born in the village.
- The Ukrainian economist, journalist, founding member of the Ukrainian liberation movement Ukrajinska holowna wyswolna rada (UHWR) and an active member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society Lev Shankovsky ( Лев Шанко́вський ) was born on September 9, 1903 († April 25, 1995 USA).
