Dulkadiroğlu is a municipality in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaraş, founded in 2012 . It emerged from a division of the central city district ( Merkez ). Dulkadiroğlu includes the central parts of the city of Kahramanmaraş with the neighboring villages and has 218,029 inhabitants. In addition to the city of Kahramanmaraş, the Baydemirli municipality and 57 villages belong to Dulkadiroğlu. The district was named after the Turkish medieval dynasty of the Dulkadir .
