The Dummbäke is a river in the Lower Saxony district of Oldenburg, southwest of Bremen .
The approximately 7 kilometer long stream has its source in Birkenheide north of the road Am Kamphusmoor . From there it flows through the eastern area of Ganderkesee and then on the western outskirts of Delmenhorst . After all, it is at times the border river between Ganderkesee and Delmenhorst. The Dummbäke flows into the Welse , a tributary of the Delme , in the western area of Delmenhorst on the Delmenhorst – Hesepe railway line .
The Kleine Dummbäke is a left-hand tributary of the Dummbäke. The source of the approximately 1 kilometer long stream is located directly to the east on Birkenheider Straße . It flows in a north-easterly direction, feeds the Ganterteich , formerly called Riedenweiher , and flows into the Dummbäke at the level of the Ganderkese outdoor pool. Around 1915 the watercourse from the Donnermoor to the source of the little Dummbäke was dug.
