Dust was an American hard rock band that was active in the early 1970s .

history

Dust was founded in the late 1960s by Richard Wise, Kenny Aaronson and Marc Bell . Kenny Kerner wrote the lyrics for the band and worked as a producer and manager. Her debut album was released on Kama Sutra Records in 1971, the following year a second album was released on the same label. Today, the band's only two albums are valued by collectors and music lovers as unusually early heavy metal works.

After the dissolution

All band members went to other projects after Dust broke up.

In the mid-1970s, Bell worked with Wayne County and the Backstreet Boys , Estus, and Richard Hell & The Voidoids . In 1978 he replaced Thomas Erdelyi with the Ramones and took the stage name Marky Ramone . The Ramones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and received the 2011 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for Lifetime Achievement . Bell is now active as a radio presenter, and he is also active with his band Marky Ramone's punk rock Blitzkrieg . In addition, he has had guest appearances in many television programs and series.

Aaronson played in the stories with which he landed several number 1 hits in the US in the 1970s. He also toured with Edgar Winter , Joan Jett , Bob Dylan , Billy Idol , Billy Squier , Foghat , HSAS , Brian Setzer , Mick Taylor , Dave Edmunds , Graham Parker , Hall and Oates , Leslie West , Rick Derringer, among others .

Wise and Kerner produced materials for Kiss , among other things .
