Dustin Sylvester (born January 5, 1989 in Kelowna , British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player . His brother Cody is also a hockey player.
Career
Sylvester played for the Kootenay Ice when he was young . In spring 2010, he signed a try-out contract with the Lake Erie Monsters and ran for them in three AHL games .
In the summer of 2010 Sylvester signed his first contract with a European club, namely with EHC Freiburg . After the season he returned to the Abbotsford Heat in North America.
For the 2013/14 season he moved again to Europe to the Vienna Capitals in the Austrian Ice Hockey League , where he signed a one-year contract. After reaching the playoff final, he extended for a year at the Caps.
After two seasons with the Vienna Capitals , he moved to the Dornbirn EC in 2015 within the league .
In the 2018/19 season he played with his brother Cody for EC Bad Nauheim in the DEL2 . In April 2019, he ended his career for family reasons.
