Dyan Cannon , actually Samile Diane Friesen (born January 4, 1937 in Tacoma , Washington ) is an American actress .

Life

Dyan Cannon received two Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress, for Bob & Caroline & Ted & Alice (1969) and for Heaven Shall Wait (1978). After appearances in the television series Ally McBeal (1997 to 2000) and Three Sisters (2001), she was most recently seen in the feature film Boynton Beach Club (2006).

In 1965 Dyan Cannon married Cary Grant , she was his fourth wife. The couple, who divorced in 1968, have a daughter, Jennifer Grant (* 1966).

Her second marriage was from 1985 to 1991 with the lawyer Stanley Finberg.

Jazz musician David Friesen is Dyan Cannon's brother.
