Dyanne Mary Christine Bito (born August 10, 1981 in Curaçao , Netherlands Antilles ) is a Dutch soccer player . Since the 2008/09 season she has been active for the team from AZ from Alkmaar in the Eredivisie .

Club career

Bito started as a striker , later played in midfield and is now mostly used as a defender in the position of right defender . Her first clubs were Geel-Wit (from 1994 to 1998) and TYBB from Haarlem , from where she moved to ASV Wartburgia in 2000 . With the team from Amsterdam she played in the Hoofd class , the highest women's division at the time. From 2004 to 2007 she was under contract with the German Bundesliga club Heike Rheine ; in the three seasons she scored 30 goals in 63 encounters. After the Westphalians were relegated, she joined ADO Den Haag in the newly founded Eredivisie in 2007 . After only one season, in which she scored three goals in 16 missions, she moved to Master AZ from Alkmaar in 2008 . Here she was used in all season games and with two goals contributed to AZ successfully defending the championship title. Also in the 2009/10 season, Alkmar and Bito were the best team in the Eredivisie; in the 2010/11 season the women were third.

National team

On October 14, 2000, Bito made her debut in the national team in a 3-0 win over Hungary . With Oranje she won the silver medal at the 2001 Universiade in Beijing. She was part of the squad of the Dutch women at the European Championship finals in Finland, who advanced to the semi-finals. On June 6, 2010, she played her 100th international match against Belgium . Until June 17, 2013, she had worn the Orange jersey in 139 games . She was also in the squad for the EM 2013 and was used in all three group games, but was eliminated with her team after the preliminary round.
