Dylan Saunders
Dylan Mackenzie Saunders (born April 8, 1987 in San Francisco ) is an American actor and singer. Became known as a performer in several musicals by the theater group Team StarKid .
biography
Saunders grew up in San Francisco and then began studying at the University of Michigan Drama School , graduating in 2009 with a BFA with Honors. Shortly thereafter, he joined the digital media company StarKid Productions and in April 2009 took on the role of Albus Dumbledore in their first musical, A Very Potter Musical . Since then, he has returned to the role twice in the subsequent musicals. Also in the StarKid musicals Starship and Holy Musical, Batman! he took on roles. In 2013, he played the lead role of Jafar (Jafar), the villain from the Disney movie Aladdin , in the StarKid musical Twisted , which tells the same story from Jafar's perspective. In 2012 Saunders took part in the SPACE Tour and the Apocalyptour , two concert tours by Team StarKid. He also performed with them at many festivals and conventions, including in Europe.
In 2010 Saunders played Johann Ohneland in the play The Lion in Winter by James Goldman . Since 2012 he has increasingly taken on roles in TV series and larger theater productions. So he was z. For example, in the US television series Chicago Fire , Kevin from Work, American Koko and Turn: Washington's Spies . He has also played in at least ten theater productions since 2013, including the American premiere of the Tony- nominated drama King Charles III as Prince Harry .
In 2014 Saunders released his first album Confluence , which entered the iTunes pop chart at number 20 . He had previously worked with the poet and rapper George Watsky on several chart-topping albums and went on a world tour with him. As a voice actor, he spoke for Disney , Nickelodeon and Fox projects as well as in several video games and national and international commercials.
Saunders is a member of the Actors' Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild . He is engaged to Shashona Brooks.
