Dzielnica XI Podgórze Duchackie (until May 24, 2006 Dzielnica XI Wola Duchacka ) is the eleventh district of Krakow in Poland , it covers an area of ​​9.54 km² and has 54,324 inhabitants with a population density of 5694 inhabitants / km². The district was created in 1990 by dividing the Podgórze district . In the years 2003 to 2005, public consultation on renaming the city districts was introduced. For Dzielnica XI, the addition Podgórze Południe (Podgórze-South) was initially proposed, but in May 2006 the city administration decided on the addition Duchackie after the Hospitaliters of the Holy Spirit (in Polish, colloquially Duchacy ), which was established in the local place name Wola Duchacka .
