The Jordan EJ15 was the Formula 1 - racing cars of Jordan Grand Prix for the 2005 season . It is a further development of the Jordan EJ14 from the previous year and the 15th and last vehicle from the Jordan Grand Prix in Formula 1 that left Formula 1 at the end of the 2005 season.
technology
In contrast to previous years, Jordan used a Toyota engine called the RVX-05. It was the same engine that the Toyota F1 team used themselves. Jordan became the first Toyota customer team. The first EJ15 was a version of the predecessor EJ14 that was adapted to the new rules. There was no further development. From the Italian Grand Prix, the team used the EJ15B . In this race, however, only Tiago Monteiro drove with the new chassis. Narain Karthikeyan fielded this vehicle one race later.
driver
The drivers were new for the 2005 season. The Portuguese Tiago Monteiro replaced Nick Heidfeld , who had switched to Williams . The Indian Narain Karthikeyan took over from Timo Glock , who competed in the US Champ Car World Series in 2005 .
