The Midland M16 was the first Formula 1 - racing cars of Midland F1 Racing .
The car designed by James Key took part in all 18 races of the Formula 1 World Championship in 2006 , was driven by the Portuguese Tiago Monteiro and the Dutchman Christijan Albers and, as the best result, achieved ninth place (Monteiro at the Hungarian Grand Prix ), whereby the team finished the constructors' championship with 0 points in its first season in tenth place out of eleven.
The RVX-06 V8 engine developed by Toyota was used. The tires came from Bridgestone .
